For now at least, it is definitely ok to have multiple Twitter accounts and many users do. But you may be wondering why anyone would want more than one Twitter account in the first place. Believe it or not, there are several extremely valid (and useful) reasons to utilize more than one Twitter account.
Here’s a few examples to help you wrap your head around the idea of having multiple Twitter accounts being a good thing:
Multiple niche businesses = multiple Twitter accounts
This one definitely applies to Internet marketers who often have their hands in tons of different niches. However, even if you’re somebody who has two niche businesses or websites, you may want to consider separate Twitter accounts for them.
For instance, let’s say you are a freelance writer and you also have a blog in the cooking niche. You are going to have a lot of blog readers who are interested in your cooking tips but couldn’t care less about your writing services. Therefor to keep them following you and engaged as a reader, it will benefit you to separate the two with separate Twitter accounts.
Is it business or personal?
Similar to the example above, you may want to keep these two things separate. You don’t necessarily want to act like someone you’re not to your clients and business associates, however, you might not want them seeing tweets about how drunk you were at your friend’s birthday party last night.
Yes, it’s still “out there” for them to find, but this way you don’t have the contradiction of a business associate following you to find keep in touch with work stuff and “being forced to read about your personal endeavors”.
It’s also no fun to have to feel like you need to censor yourself because of some people that are following you. Depending on your work, it’s definitely possible to mix business with pleasure, having the option to separate the two with separate Twitter accounts is definitely a must for some.
One account for a smaller group
Some people like to have multiple Twitter accounts that are limited to smaller groups of people like close friends and family. In business you may even have one specific Twitter account for one product you released or maybe you have a coaching class and you want only your students to follow one account for updates.
Really, you’re only limit is you as you can use a twitter account for any group of people you choose. But, this may have given you a couple ideas for using multiple Twitter accounts that you haven’t thought of.

Twitter is the hottest thing going on the internet today. Celebrities, media, and even parents are all using twitter. It has hit the internet with an overwhelming presence and because of this it should play a critical role in your marketing campaign. It does not matter what type of business you happen to be in, twitter has the ability to make you an amazing amount of income.
In order for you to truly tap into the power of twitter and then make it an effective marketing tool for you, you will need to be sure to follow the unspoken rules that seem to dominate the social structure that makes up the world of twitter. There are four basic steps to making your way around twitter’s social etiquette and in return make it in to an amazing and steady income for your business.
1. Personal and Useful Information
People each and every day use twitter to talk to their friends and family about their day, share information, and develop relationships with other people around the globe that have similar interests. The users are not searching for a slick businessman or sales pitches that are not veiled very well. The most successful marketers of twitter are the ones that show their customers their true personality and also develop friendships with their customers, also those marketers who work extra hard to add value to their twitter community as a whole. You need to keep all of this in mind when you are looking at what you should tweet about and also how you need to present yourself online.
2. Provide Value
One of the quickest and most beneficial ways to make friends through twitter is to retweet useful information from other respected members of your business niche. This will not only reach the attention of the person whose information that you retweeted but also lets all of the other people realize that you are there to provide a certain value to the community. It will also give an air of credibility to both you and also your business. If you associate yourself with movers and shakers of the community then you will soon become one yourself.
3. Others To Retweet
If you are sure to follow both of the first steps this should not be a problem for you at all. Also if you have provided the right valuable information, people are more than likely going to share your information with others. Also if you begin to retweet other people’s information they will soon begin to do the same thing for you. Do not even think about skipping two if you are truly trying to get your name out there because, if you skip step two, step three will not work for you at all.
4. Twitter System
You may soon find out that it is easy for you to get sucked into the twitter world and lose track of all time. You will find yourself spending hours upon hours on reading, tweeting, and as a result getting nothing else done for your business. It is of the utmost importance that you do not get yourself sucked into this trap. A successful marketing campaign with twitter does not have to consume all of your time. In fact, some of the most profitable business owners that use twitter only spend 5-30 minutes a day on the twitter boards.
Twitter is one the hottest and exciting thing on the internet today and the popularity does not seem to be decreasing. If you do not have a marketing campaign through twitter, you are losing out on a powerful income stream for your own business.
